We are knot of bikers and almost all of us have been biking more than thirty-five years so we are already old farts but Keith Richards is still playing.

Most of us lives at lake area in Finland but our society is word wide so you can ram to some of us anywhere.

Now days we mostly do enduro tours and trips but some paved roads also once and awhile.

"Le Petit Paris"
Several centuries of tradition have given Joroinen its reputation as a parish of manors and cultural life. Thanks to good connections and plains suitable for cultivation, the feudal system was established here in the mid-17th century. It all began during the reign of Queen Christina of Sweden, when Captain Mårten Brenner was granted an estate in appreciation of his military merits. New estates were later incorporated with this fief. Brenner was raised to the nobility in 1650, taking the name Brennerfelt. After his death in 1674 the Järvikylä Manor was passed on to the second husband of Brennerfelt´s widow, Major Nils Groth, who was raised to the nobility a few years later as Grotenfelt. Since then the Grotenfelt family has had the Järvikylä Manor in their possession.
In Joroinen the establishment of manors most actively took place in the 17th century, an activity also occurring in other parts of the Savo province. Towards the end of the century 14 landed estates under obligation of furnishing and equipping a cavalryman were established, most of these owned by nobility. The manor establishment was moreover supplemented by three military landed estates, owned by officers, two vicarages and, established in the following century, by further seven manors.
The impact of the nobility, many of them high-ranking officers, was at its strongest from the late 18th century to the 1880´s. One reason for this was the Haapaniemi Cadet School, established in 1781 just on the border of Joroinen, thus encouraging many of its officers to settle down here. Before the Finnish war of 1808-09 the gentry had hierarchical contacts with the Swedish Royal House and thus for instance uniformed officers and military drills became a familiar sight for the common people in Joroinen too.
The social life among the manors was vivid. The big landed estates, the magnificent interior decorations of the mansions, the splendid festivities, with music and theatre performances, and in particular the diverging language spoken among the residents of the manors - Swedish in contrast to Finnish spoken among common people - separated the gentry from common people. They could also show off by speaking French, they dressed in accordance with their status, knew royalty and imperials and socialized with provincial governors and generals. This heyday of the manor culture gave Joroinen its pet name Le Petit Paris or nowadays Savon Pariisi (The Paris of the Province Savo").
In the early 19th century 40 % of acreage in the parish was manor-owned. The belle époque of Le Petite Paris ran out in the 1880's and many manors passed into the ownership of regular farmers and businessmen. During this stage many a prominent family of nobility, military and officials settled here, among them heroes from the work "The Tale of Second Lieutenant Stål" by the Finnish national poet Johan Ludwig Runeberg. Powerful officials, famous scientists and artists were also counted among their younger generations.
Anyway, the epoch of Le Petit Paris has not run out completely; a great deal of the old manors, mansions and families still exist in this day. The cultural life has experienced a revival in the form of Mansion Concerts during the Joroinen Music Days that are held every summer.
